- What we return to whenever we get confused about our goals.
- Providing you with something to look forward to & work towards.
- Placing a purpose for your activities.
- A way to answer your own “why” of life.
How to draft your vision statement
1. Reflect on your purpose and values.
2. Define the future of your Business.
3. Keep it short, make it memorable and evoke emotion.
What Is a Mission
A mission statement looks like this:
A Mission means:
- A statement used by a company to explain why it exists.
- That which refers to the entrepreneur’s culture, values & principles.
- It reveals what the business does, how it does it, and why it does it.
- What serves to convey your business identity to clients & investors.
- It incorporates financial, professional, spiritual, & relational aspects.
How to identify your mission statement

2. Identify your target audience & what you bring as being unique.
3. Craft a clear and concise statement.
What to be mindful of
- Don’t only include business goals as part of your vision & mission.
- A vision should build the same picture in people’s minds.
- Avoid using jargon, and complex or vague language for both.
- Keep it short & crisp, write in the present, but project the vision to the future.
- Get inspired, but don’t copy just because it’s catchy, for any.
